Do the mitten hoods stay closed during aggressive skiing?

It depends on the closure design. Magnetic closures can occasionally pop open during high-impact activities, while Velcro and button snap closures are more secure. Most modern flip-mitts have improved closure systems that stay put during normal skiing, but very aggressive skiing, crashes, or pole planting impacts can occasionally dislodge the hood.
